Adhesive bonding in Advanced composites
One of the main challenges facing manufacturers of advanced composite materials is the adhesive bonding between the various components of the material or structure.
Our MolecularGRIP™ technology enables solvent-free sizing of highly inert, as well as highly sensitive materials, to significantly increase the strength of the bond between the fibres (carbon, polyolefin, polyester, natural, …) and the polymer matrix.
Our surface priming technology offers major advantages over others for surface priming to improve adhesive joining of dissimilar materials as we are able to easily join materials such as:
- CFC to metal
- Teflon to other materials
- Elastomers to metal
- PU to glass, PMMA or metal
- PU to PP
- Acrylic to PP
